Role Description The Business Intelligence Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for transforming complex tax and transaction data into meaningful insights that support product, operations, and leadership decisions. Day-to-day tasks include designing and maintaining BI dashboards and reports, building data models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define metrics and KPIs. The person in this role will work with data warehousing and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance.

Additional responsibilities include supporting ad-hoc analysis requests, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization,



and contributing to the continuous improvement of data governance and analytics best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and experience in data analytics, including interpreting complex datasets and communicating findings clearly.
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to build and maintain reliable data pipelines.
- Proficiency in data modeling and designing efficient, scalable structures for reporting and analytics.
- Practical knowledge of BI and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and SQL for querying and analysis.
- Understanding of financial or tax-related data, with experience in SaaS or e-commerce environments considered an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and a focus on data quality and integrity.
