Role Overview

This role is part of the Finance function and supports the Finance leadership team in monitoring business performance through data and reporting.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will work primarily on financial and operational performance data, developing dashboards and analysis used for financial review meetings, budgeting discussions, collections monitoring, and commercial decision-making.

The focus of the role is to translate ERP, billing, collections, and operational data into accurate financial insights such as profitability trends, revenue analysis, working capital metrics, and performance KPIs.

This is not a pure IT reporting role — the analyst will work closely with finance stakeholders and is expected to understand how financial data is used to manage the business.

This role is focused on Power BI dashboarding, DAX, and SQL-based reporting — not data pipeline development, ETL architecture, or backend engineering.

We are currently expanding from one to three sites. This role will evolve as new centres open — candidates who are comfortable with growing data complexity, changing reporting requirements, and building from scratch rather than maintaining existing reports will be best suited to this position.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Data Analysis

- Develop, enhance, and maintain regular dashboards and reports using Power BI (or equivalent tools).
- Perform ad-hoc analysis on operational and financial data, including P&L; drill-downs, price and volume mix, and AP/AR metrics.
- Respond to data and reporting queries from business and finance stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Identify trends, variances, and exceptions in data and highlight them with transparent explanations.

BI System Improvement

- Review and act on feedback from report users to improve usability, accuracy, and relevance.
- Resolve issues reported by users and ensure fixes are properly tested and documented.
- Support ongoing improvements such as report redesign, data model optimisation, automation, and user enablement.
- Help prioritise enhancement requests based on business impact and effort.

Data Quality & Controls

- Monitor data quality across reports and dashboards and flag inconsistencies or gaps.
- Work with internal teams to help address data issues at source where possible.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving data reliability and standardisation.

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Work closely with Finance,



Operations, and other business teams to understand reporting requirements.
- Ensure reports and dashboards are aligned with agreed definitions and KPIs.
- Provide guidance to junior team members where required.

Skills & Experience Required Must-Have

- 3–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles.
- Prior experience working within or directly supporting a finance function — in financial services, healthcare, BPO/BPM, or a shared services environment — is strongly preferred.
- Strong SQL skills are essential. Exposure to Python for data analysis or automation is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar BI platforms.
- Good understanding of financial and operational reporting concepts.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications in Analytics, Finance, or Management are preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, or data analysis will be given priority over formal qualifications.

Working Conditions

- Office environment in Pune (WFO).
- Standard 5 day corporate workweek, with occasional extended hours during month-end reporting cycles.
- Collaborative team setting; regular interaction with UK finance colleagues and cross-functional business units.
- This role operates on a UK shift (12:00 pm – 9:00 pm IST), aligned to UK business hours. Candidates must be comfortable with this schedule on a permanent basis.
- Candidates must be currently residing in Pune or able to commute to Sinhgad Road daily without relocation support. Applications from outside Pune may be considered only if the candidate is ready to manage their own relocation and commute to office.
