VENTTUP is an engineering-led Manufacturing as a Service company helping customers develop, localise and scale products through India’s manufacturing ecosystem.

We are looking for a Business Head to establish and scale our Energy Transition & Data Centers vertical. This is a hands-on role for someone who can identify market opportunities, win customers, shape technical solutions and lead delivery. You will own the vertical’s strategy, revenue, profitability and P&L;—with the ambition to build it from scratch into a ₹100 crore+ business.

What you will own

- Develop the vertical’s business plan, market positioning, customer pipeline, revenue targets and profitability.
- Build business across BESS, hybrid solar, renewable energy EPC projects, energy storage, smart grids and data center infrastructure.
- Develop opportunities in data center cooling systems, equipment racks, enclosures and associated power and mechanical infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities to develop and localise components, equipment and subsystems that reduce import dependence.
- Lead customer discussions from technical discovery and solution development through proposals, negotiation and order closure.
- Work with engineering teams and partners on primary and secondary engineering design, power electronics equipment, HVAC and related infrastructure.
- Develop opportunities involving switchyard products and projects, including a practical understanding of equipment interfaces,



project execution and site requirements.
- Oversee control panel design, integration, testing and commissioning in collaboration with specialist teams.
- Build relationships with OEMs, renewable energy developers, EPC companies, utilities, data center operators and technology partners.
- Own project margins, delivery performance, working capital, collections and customer satisfaction.
- Build the team, manufacturing partner network and processes needed to scale the business.

What you bring

- Relevant experience in renewable energy EPC, energy storage, power systems, switchyard projects, electrical equipment or data center infrastructure.
- The technical judgment to understand customer requirements and work with specialists to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Strong commercial ability across business development, costing, proposals, contracts and project execution.
- A product-development mindset and a genuine interest in indigenisation—turning imported products or components into competitive solutions made in India.
- Self-motivation, ownership and the willingness to build a business from the ground up.

We value demonstrated ability and entrepreneurial drive more than a fixed number of years of experience. You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed, but you should know how to bring together customers, engineers and manufacturing partners to deliver results.
