Position: Business Head / DMM
Role Description The Business Head/ Divisional Merchandising Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. This role is responsible for leading the merchandising division, setting business strategy and driving sales and profitability for designated product lines and markets.
Day-to-day responsibilities include planning seasonal assortments, managing pricing and margins, overseeing sourcing and vendor relationships and ensuring timely production and delivery. The role also involves collaborating closely with design, production, sourcing and sales teams to align product offerings with market trends and customer requirements, while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
The Business
Head/ Divisional Merchandising Manager will monitor performance metrics, prepare business reports and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the division.

Senior Merchandising responsibilities to guide and grow on team & provide end-to-end coordination service across client-base.

Skills Required
- Basic to fair knowledge of fabrics, trims, pattern and documentation.
- Good knowledge of Garment parameters, exposer to accessories, safety gear, footwear will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of all requirements of buyers/designers.
- Knowledge of common production problems
- Robust with systems – like ERP, Plan, etc.
Roles & responsibilities: Work as team member in sourcing garments order, making a sample, price negotiation, price confirmation, order confirmation, coordinating with the procurement teams for raw materials, making of garments, packing and final shipments.
1. Internal & external communication- with buyers & with departments and vendors, from Order confirmation to shipment.
2. Co-ordinate various departments such as sourcing, sampling, production, quality assurance, and logistics for smooth execution and timely delivery of orders.
3. Preparation and validation of Time and Action (T&A;)
calendar and real-time info updates.
4. Sample approval- process – Responsible for ‘Proto to Sealer’ submission along with concerned teams like R&D;, sampling, etc.
5. Costing -Knowledge of cost cutting tools and initiatives must be used. Once all the required samples are made and approved.
6. ‘On-Time shipment’ tracker updates to ensure on-time and send timely shipment handover.
7. Coordinate BOM creation with team and enter the details in ERP to ensure timely material sourcing/ordering.
8. Strictly enforce the preparation of through, complete and comprehensively informative file by the merchant for each style to be used by Production. QA and allied teams within the Company. Prepare production file includes approved details from buyer, tech pack, purchase order and 10-parameter report.
9. Travel at short notice when required to meet Clients and maintain a transparent, mutually respectable relationship.
10. Get approval from the buyer if any small change happens with the product or raw material or in trims and accessories.
11. Advising special precaution to be taken in production and quality department.
12. Organize meeting after approval of pre-production sample.
13. Take follow-up of running order and upcoming orders.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B Tech / Graduate / Post Graduate in NIFT or Fashion Technology
- 10+ years of proven and relevant experience in a similar role.
- Exp should be in Garment/Apparel Industry preferably Suits
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Candidates from Bangalore and immediate joiner preferred
