3. Purpose of role:

To drive business performance insights and operational excellence across the convenience store network by establishing a single, reliable source of truth for performance data, converting it into actionable insights for day-to-day and periodic business reviews, tracking delivery of strategic projects against defined milestones, and automating MIS and administrative processes that support Head Office and field teams. The role is required to enable faster, data-led decision making by leadership and to bring scale, accuracy and consistency to performance reporting and commercial administration.

4. Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role

- Monitor overall business performance of convenience stores across sales, gross margin, footfall, basket size, category mix and store-level profitability, and flag deviations against plan with root-cause analysis
- Share crisp day-to-day, weekly and monthly performance insights with the Program Manager and leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities and recommended interventions
- Automate MIS and dashboards for business reviews, field support and daily performance tracking, replacing manual reporting with scalable, self-serve solutions
- Track key strategic projects with clearly defined milestones including network expansion, digital transformation and recent format pilots maintain project trackers, monitor dependencies and escalate slippages on time
- Build reusable analytical solutions using advanced Excel, SQL and Python, applying statistical techniques to sales trends, promotion effectiveness and store clustering
- Own data integrity and database management define data structures, maintain master data, run validation checks and ensure a single source of truth across reports
- Coordinate operator payments — ensure timely processing, reconciliation of dues and closure of exceptions with Finance and State Ops teams
- Drive dealer and franchisee fee recovery — track billing, monitor receivables ageing, follow up with field teams and report recovery status to leadership
- Manage new dealer onboarding in systems — code creation, master data setup, agreement and documentation tracking, and system access enablement
- Provide field support as the central point of contact for reporting, systems and process queries, and drive adoption of standard formats and tools across regions




- Prepare high-quality PowerPoint packs and review decks for monthly and quarterly business reviews, translating complex analysis into clear leadership narratives
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Digital, Supply Chain, Marketing and State Ops teams to standardise data definitions, close process gaps and scale best practices

- Close cooperation with HO Finance, Digital, Supply Chain, Marketing and State Ops functions is key for success.
- Scope of impact is network-wide, with insights, MIS and project tracking feeding directly into leadership business reviews and decision making.

7. Experience & Expertise (mandatory & desired)

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Commerce or Business; MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification preferred
- 6+ years in business analytics, performance management, MIS or business operations, preferably in retail, fuel retail, convenience or other consumer-facing businesses
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a proven ability to build executive-ready models, reviews and presentations
- Working knowledge of Python and applied statistics for analysis and automation, along with SQL and database management capability
- Demonstrated project management experience — tracking milestones, dependencies, risks and stakeholder reporting
- Proven record of building scalable,



automated reporting solutions that reduce manual effort and improve turnaround
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Exposure to payment processing, receivables recovery, vendor or dealer onboarding and commercial administration is desirable

RIL and BP has set recently signed a definitive agreement to set up the Joint Venture in fuel value chain where in 51% will be held by RIL & 49% will be held by BP. The venture is expected to be operational in the first half of 2020, subject to regulatory approvals. The venture expects to expand from RIL’s current fuel retailing network of over 1,400 retail sites and 30 aviation fuel stations across India to up to 5,500 retail sites and 45 aviation fuel stations over the next five years.

The retail network will operate under the Jio-BP brand, signalling a paradigm shift in fuels marketing and mobility solutions in India. It brings together extensive access and connection to consumers through its Jio digital platform and BP’s deep experience in fuel retailing around the world. The joint venture will seek to offer Indian consumers high-quality differentiated fuels, convenience.

The JV is all set to clock future sales in excess of INR 1,50,000 cr ($20 bln) and a capex of over $3bn overtime.
