Business Analyst - BFSI / Automation

About the Role:

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong experience in the BFSI domain and Automation to bridge business requirements with technology solutions. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of BFSI processes, business analysis methodologies, and automation-driven transformation.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Understand and map BFSI business processes, workflows, and operational requirements.
- Prepare BRD, FRD, user stories, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, digitisation, and automation.
- Work closely with business, product, development, RPA/automation, QA, and project teams.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder discussions, requirement workshops, and process walkthroughs.
- Evaluate automation opportunities and contribute to solution design from a functional perspective.
- Support UAT planning, test-case preparation, defect clarification, and business validation.
- Coordinate with development/automation teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Prepare process documentation, SOPs, user guides, and training materials.
- Track requirements, changes, dependencies, and stakeholder approvals.

Required Skills:





- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Business Analyst.
- Strong BFSI domain experience Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Lending, Payments, etc.
- Experience in process automation / RPA / digital transformation projects is Plus.
- Strong understanding of requirement gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and functional documentation.
- Hands-on experience with BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, and process flows.
- Good understanding of AS-IS / TO-BE process analysis.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Robust analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Draw.io, or similar is an advantage.

Positive to Have

- Experience working on RPA / workflow automation / low-code automation projects.
- Understanding of automation assessment and ROI/business case preparation.
- Exposure to AI-led process transformation or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience working with enterprise applications and workflow platforms.
