Position: Business Studies Teacher
Location: Bardoli, Gujarat

1. Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified, passionate, and experienced Business Studies Teacher to join our academic team in Bardoli. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Business Studies to senior secondary students, developing strong conceptual understanding, preparing students for board examinations, and supporting their overall academic development. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Business Studies, excellent communication and presentation skills, effective classroom management abilities, and the ability to explain theoretical concepts through practical examples and real-life business situations.
1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Classroom Responsibilities
- Teach Business Studies to senior secondary students as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver structured and engaging lesson plans.
- Explain business concepts using practical examples, case studies, current business situations, and classroom discussions.
- Develop students' understanding of business principles rather than relying only on memorisation.
- Conduct regular revision and doubt-clearing sessions.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies to improve student participation and understanding.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.
B. Academic Planning & Curriculum
- Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily lesson plans.
- Complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic schedule.
- Follow the school's curriculum, academic calendar, and examination plan.
- Prepare worksheets, assignments, notes, case studies, question banks, and revision material.
- Plan remedial classes for students requiring additional academic support.
- Plan enrichment activities for academically advanced students.
- Coordinate with the Academic Coordinator and other Commerce faculty members for effective academic planning.

1. Board Examination Preparation
- Prepare students for Class 11 and Class 12 examinations.
- Develop board-oriented study plans and revision schedules.
- Conduct regular chapter-wise tests and mock examinations.
- Prepare students for case-study, competency-based, assertion-reasoning, and application-based questions,
wherever applicable.
- Analyse previous examination papers and identify important concepts and question patterns.
- Provide effective examination strategies and time-management guidance.
- Monitor individual student performance and prepare improvement plans.
1. Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct class tests, periodic assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Prepare quality question papers according to the prescribed examination pattern.
- Evaluate answer sheets accurately and within the given timeline.
- Maintain student marks and assessment records.
- Analyse examination results and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Provide constructive academic feedback to students.
- Conduct remedial assessments wherever required.
1. Student Development
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Promote discussion-based and activity-based learning.
- Encourage students to understand business concepts through practical examples.
- Guide students in Business Studies projects and presentations.
- Support students in developing communication and presentation skills.
- Motivate students to participate in business-related competitions, exhibitions, quizzes, and academic activities.
- Monitor students' academic progress and classroom participation.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with students.
1. Parent Communication
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings as scheduled.
- Communicate students' academic performance and areas of improvement to parents.
- Provide constructive feedback regarding students' progress.
- Discuss appropriate academic support strategies with parents when required.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality during parent interactions.
1. Project & Practical Guidance
The teacher will be responsible for guiding students in:
- Business Studies projects
- Case-study analysis
- Business presentations
- Market surveys
- Business environment activities
- Entrepreneurship-related activities
- Group discussions and presentations
- Commerce exhibitions and academic projects
1. Administrative & School Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance, marks, assessment records, and other required academic documentation.
- Complete assigned academic work within prescribed timelines.
- Attend staff meetings, academic meetings, training programmes, workshops, and seminars.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, exhibitions, competitions, and other institutional activities.
- Support academic coordinators in curriculum-related activities.
- Follow school rules, policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Coordinate with other Commerce/Accountancy/Economics teachers wherever required.
- Perform additional academic responsibilities assigned by the Principal or Academic Coordinator.
1. Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce / Business Studies / Management / relevant subject from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. is preferred/required as per applicable school-board requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.Com / B.Com / MBA with B.Ed.
- Relevant subject-specific teaching qualification.
- Additional certification in teaching or education will be an advantage.
1. Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in Business Studies is preferred.
- Experience teaching Classes 11 & 12 will be an advantage.
- Experience with CBSE / GSEB / ISC / Cambridge or other recognised boards may be preferred based on the school's requirement.
- Candidates with strong subject knowledge and good teaching ability may also be considered.
