About the Venture
We are building a current digital platform focused on a major Sri Lankan city, starting with restaurants and food and eventually expanding into hotels, experiences, events, attractions, culture and everything the city has to offer.
The goal is to create a single, recognisable platform for discovering the city while helping local businesses reach more customers.
The Role
As Co-Founder, Partnerships & Operations, you will take responsibility for building the local business network and helping execute the venture on the ground. 40% equity/ownership of the brand as the co-founder.
Key Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with restaurants, hotels and local businesses
- Lead sales and business development activities
- Drive early revenue and commercial opportunities
- Manage partnerships and ongoing business relationships
- Coordinate local operations and on-ground activities
- Recruit and manage team members as the business grows
- Contribute to business strategy, brand development and growth
- Represent the venture and build its presence across the city
Who We Are Looking For
- Based in the target city or strongly connected to the local community
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Confident speaking with business owners and decision-makers
- Experience in sales, business development, hospitality, recruitment or operations is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable building something from scratch without a fixed playbook
- Passionate about food, culture and local businesses
- Willing to take genuine ownership of the venture
The Opportunity Join as a 40% equity co-founder and help build the venture from the ground up. There is no salary or fixed compensation until positive cash flow, with revenue initially reinvested into growth.
