As Branch Manager you own everything that happens at your branch - the loan book, the team, the customer experience and the compliance record. You will lead a small team of appraisers and relationship executives, approve gold and personal loan proposals within your authority, and be the person customers ask for when something needs a decision.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily branch operations, cash management and vault procedures
- Review and approve loan proposals within delegated authority, maintaining portfolio quality
- Coach appraisers and executives on valuation accuracy, documentation and customer handling
- Grow the branchs gold, personal, Mahila and consumer loan book against monthly targets
- Ensure strict adherence to RBI norms, KYC requirements and internal audit standards
- Resolve escalated customer queries and maintain relationships with key local customers
Requirements
- 5+ years in NBFC, banking or gold loan operations, with at least 2 in a supervisory role
- Sound understanding of gold appraisal, loan documentation and recovery practice
- Graduate in any discipline; a finance or commerce background is an advantage
- Fluency in Malayalam and working English
- A clean compliance record and solid local customer orientation
