Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the complete lifecycle of laboratory and diagnostic equipment, including procurement, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and decommissioning.

- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory instruments.

- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and coordinate with OEMs/service providers for timely resolution.

- Monitor equipment performance and minimise downtime.

- Maintain calibration records, service logs, maintenance schedules, and asset registers.

- Ensure compliance with NABL, NABH, ISO, and other applicable quality standards.

- Support laboratory teams in instrument validation, verification, and quality control activities.

- Evaluate new technologies and recommend equipment upgrades based on operational needs.

- Coordinate Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC).

- Maintain inventory of spare parts, consumables, and biomedical assets.

- Provide technical training to laboratory staff on instrument operation and maintenance.

- Assist in budgeting, vendor management, and equipment procurement processes.

- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and biomedical waste management guidelines.

Qualification:





- Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Medical Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.

- Master's Degree will be an added advantage.

- Certification in Biomedical Equipment Maintenance or Healthcare Technology Management preferred.

Experience:

- 6+ years of experience in biomedical engineering.

- Minimum 4 years of experience in diagnostic laboratories, pathology laboratories, or healthcare institutions.

- Experience handling high-end diagnostic and laboratory equipment is mandatory.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of biomedical and diagnostic equipment.

- Expertise in preventive and breakdown maintenance.

- Knowledge of NABL, NABH, ISO 15189, and quality compliance requirements.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Vendor and AMC/CMC management experience.

- Solid documentation and reporting skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory management systems.

- Good communication and team management abilities.
