Newham handles tender, commercial, and design support functions for Decarb’s M&E; EPC projects in Singapore, covering fire protection, ACMV, and ELV systems. Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled BIM Modeller to join our Design & Engineering Support team in India. The successful candidate will remotely develop detailed 3D BIM models for M&E; systems — with a focus on fire protection — supporting Decarb’s Singapore project teams with coordination, clash detection, and production of shop drawings. This is an excellent opportunity to gain international project exposure while working from India.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for fire protection, ACMV, and ELV systems for Singapore-based projects across multiple phases (design, coordination, construction, as-built).
- Perform inter-disciplinary clash detection using Navisworks and coordinate with the Singapore project team to resolve conflicts across architectural, structural, and M&E; trades.
- Produce coordinated shop drawings, section details, isometric views, and equipment schedules from BIM models.
- Ensure all models comply with Singapore BCA BIM submission requirements and project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Collaborate remotely with design engineers, project managers,



and site teams in Singapore to incorporate design changes and RFI responses into models.
- Manage model data, families, and libraries to maintain standardised BIM templates across projects.
- Support quantity extraction and material take-off from BIM models for the tender and estimation team.
- Prepare BIM deliverables for client submissions, design reviews, and virtual coordination meetings.
- Assist in 4D scheduling visualisation when required by project scope.
- Stay updated on latest BIM technologies, plugins, and Singapore-specific construction standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in BIM modelling for M&E; systems; experience with international projects (Singapore, Middle East, or Southeast Asia) is a robust advantage.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP) is mandatory; experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Singapore BCA BIM standards and guidelines is preferred; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems (sprinkler, fire alarm, wet/dry riser) and general M&E; services is an advantage.

Technical Competencies

- Create and develop detailed 3D BIM models for fire protection, ACMV, and ELV systems using Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Proficient in clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage.
- Ability to produce coordinated shop drawings, as-built drawings, and fabrication-level models from BIM.




- Experience with LOD 200–400 modelling for M&E; coordination and construction.
- Understanding of BIM execution plans (BEP), model management, and CDE workflows.
- Working knowledge of IFC export, point cloud integration, and federated model coordination.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy and data integrity.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across time zones.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple models and deadlines simultaneously.
- Team player with a willingness to learn new tools, standards, and workflows.
- Comfortable working in a cross-border team environment with video conferencing and cloud-based collaboration.

Work Arrangement
