- Comprehensive In-Take: Conducting the initial consultations with couples experiencing infertility, mapping out detailed medical histories, lifestyle details, previous conception failures, and surgical histories.

- Report Review: Gathering and sorting previous medical evaluations (semen analysis, hysterosalpingography, hormone panels) to present a concise summary to the senior IVF Consultant.

1. Treatment Cycle Coordination

- Cycle Tracking: Tracking and coordinating ovulation induction cycles, follicular monitoring ultrasound scans, and blood test dates for patients.

- Inter-Departmental Liaison: Acting as a link between the consulting room, the embryology lab (for egg retrieval/embryo transfer timelines), and the pharmacy.

- Appointment Management: Managing the schedule for daily injections, scans, and procedures like IUI, Ovum Pick-Up (OPU), and Embryo Transfer (ET).

1. Patient Counseling &
- Education

- Process Explanation: Breaking down highly technical IVF/ICSI steps, medication timelines,



and pre-and-post-procedure protocols to anxious couples in straightforward terms.

- Injection &
- Medicine Guidance:

Thoroughly explaining hormone injection dosages, administration timings, and proper storage protocols (e.g., maintaining a cold chain for certain fertility drugs).

- Emotional &

- Psychological Support:

Providing empathetic counseling to help couples cope with the heavy psychological and emotional burden of infertility and treatment failure.

1. Duty Doctor &
- Procedural Assistance

- Patient Monitoring: Monitoring patients pre- and post-op during procedures like egg retrieval or embryo transfers, tracking vitals, and checking for immediate side effects.

- Emergency Escalation: Identifying medical abnormalities—such as signs of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS)—and swiftly alerting the senior gynecologist or embryologist.
