Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Belt Technology Specialist to lead the development and manufacturing of Endless Poly-V Belts, Timing Belts, Flat Transmission Belts, Caterpillar Belts, and related polymer-based products.

The successful candidate will play a key role in product design, polymer formulation, tooling development, process optimization, prototype validation, and manufacturing support.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

- Design and develop endless rubber and polyurethane belt products.
- Develop belt geometry, rib profiles, tooth profiles, reinforcement structures, and product specifications.
- Select suitable elastomers, reinforcement cords, yarns, and textile materials.
- Identify and develop suitable raw material and component vendors.

Material & Process Engineering

- Develop rubber and polymer formulations.
- Optimize calendaring, extrusion, moulding, winding, bonding, curing, and vulcanisation processes.
- Develop tooling,



moulds, mandrels, and manufacturing fixtures.

Production & Process Improvement

- Support prototype development and pilot production.
- Improve manufacturing productivity, quality, and process capability.
- Troubleshoot product and process-related issues.

Testing & Quality

- Validate products through tensile, fatigue, elongation, wear resistance, flexibility, and energetic performance testing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customer and industry standards.

Technical Documentation

- Prepare product specifications, SOPs, technical drawings, validation reports, and process documentation.
- Provide technical support to production, sales, and customers.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Polymer Engineering, Rubber Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in industrial rubber or polyurethane belt manufacturing.
- Sound knowledge of:
- Rubber compounding
- PU/TPU processing
- Reinforcement textiles and cords
- Endless belt manufacturing
- Vulcanization and moulding technologies
- Hands-on exposure to CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of ISO/ASTM testing standards.

Preferred Skills

- Product development of Timing Belts, Poly-V Belts, Flat Belts, Conveyor Belts, or Caterpillar Belts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
