Role Description We are seeking an experienced Batch Operations Engineer with robust expertise in Batch Processing Operations, AWS Batch, SQL, and ETL to manage, monitor, and optimize critical batch processing environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and reliable execution of batch workloads, troubleshooting operational issues, supporting data processing workflows, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining a stable and scalable batch processing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day Batch Processing Operations, including scheduling, monitoring, execution, and troubleshooting of batch jobs.
- Administer and support AWS Batch environments to ensure reliable execution of business-critical workloads.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize batch job schedules to maximize execution efficiency and resource utilization.
- Support and monitor ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data movement across systems.
- Utilize SQL for data validation, analysis, troubleshooting, and operational support activities.
- Automate and streamline batch processing activities using scripting and operational automation techniques.
- Monitor batch environments for performance issues, failures, and processing abnormalities, and take proactive corrective actions.




- Investigate batch job failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize recurring incidents.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, database, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of batch and data processing workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance batch processing performance, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, including batch workflows, ETL dependencies, job schedules, execution procedures, and recovery processes.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and business requirements related to batch processing activities.
- Participate in incident management and provide support for critical batch processing issues as required.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to batch processing, cloud operations, and data integration.
