We are looking for a Technical Lead - Backend Systems with 10+ years of experience to drive backend architecture, system design, and technical decision-making for large-scale distributed applications.
What You'll Do
Design and build highly scalable, resilient, and maintainable backend systems
Define architecture standards, service boundaries, and integration patterns
Lead the development of high-performance backend services using Python & FastAPI
Architect distributed systems, microservices, event-driven platforms, and modular applications
Optimize database design across PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL technologies
Drive technical discussions, mentor engineers, and establish engineering best practices
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders
Key Skills & Experience
10+ years of backend/software engineering experience
3+ years of hands-on FastAPI development in production environments
Expert-level Python programming skills
Strong experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases
Deep understanding of
- Distributed Systems
- Microservices & Event-driven Architecture
- SOLID Principles & Design Patterns
- System Design & Scalability
Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, CI/CD, and Kubernetes
Proven track record of leading architecture decisions and technical teams
Nice to Have
- Monolith to Microservices migration experience
- Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar messaging systems
- OAuth2, JWT, API Gateways & Rate Limiting
- Prior experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Backend Engineer, or Solution Architect
