OpenTrain is seeking a Backend Coding Task and Verifier Specialist to create challenging programming tasks for AI systems and develop deterministic verifiers for those tasks. You will design realistic feature implementation, debugging, and bug-fix scenarios, then build verifiers that accept reasonable valid solutions and reject solutions that fail the specifications.

The work requires sound judgment across code quality, performance, automated testing, refactoring, algorithms, data structures, scalable services, and secure coding practices where relevant.

What You'll Do

You will develop tasks that reflect practical backend engineering work, including feature development, debugging, and bug fixes. Your verifiers should evaluate solutions consistently and reflect the stated specifications rather than relying on subjective review.

You will also assess implementation quality and technical tradeoffs across performance, scalability, testing, maintainability, and security.
