Role and Responsibilities:

The Azure Platform developer will be part of a Cloud Engg. team mainly responsible for development & deployment of Azure Infrastructure & Platform services.

Responsible for constantly improving the standards of software craftsmanship by following the latest trends in IT, frameworks, tools and techniques, attending conferences, mentoring others, performing code reviews or doing pair programming.

Design and build secure, scalable, high-performing solutions in Azure using the pillars of the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework

Make sure that our software is testable and properly tested (preferably in an automated way)

Design and implement software and underlying architecture so that they can test, deploy and scale on their own

Gather data to verify our assumptions, in the production, provide an immediate feedback to all stakeholders

Implement monitoring and alerting, so that we know immediately when things go wrong

Constantly look for improvements and learn from our mistake

Work closely with team leaders to set technical direction within the team and to ensure software developed is of a consistently high standard, cohesive and meets business objectives

Assisting all team leaders to ensure projects are accurately estimated and delivered to schedule

Working closely with Team Leader on issues related to requirements and design

Mentoring colleagues and take an active role in their development

Technical Competency





4 - 8 years of experience in platform engineering (Azure).

Extensive understanding on any of the Programming language namely Python,.Net, Java including its ecosystem of tools and libraries

Broad level Azure cloud architecture and experience with APIs

Proficient with CI/CD, configuration & release management tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Github, SVN etc

Familiarity with serverless Azure services (e.g. Azure Function, Logic Apps, Event Grid etc.)

Robust notions of security best practices (e.g. using RBAC, Policy, etc.)

Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems

Strong RESTful API experience (both in Integration and development)

Front-End experience (ReactJS,CSS/JS/TS)

Strong understanding of NodeJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, its quirks, and workarounds

JavaScript/TypeScript unit testing frameworks

JavaScript/TypeScript packaging and deployment

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines

Creative and self-motivated engineer with excellent coding and design skills

You are always mindful of quality attributes like maintainability, performance, security, scalability, usability, and testability. As a result, you have successfully contributed to the architecture and UI/UX proposals and decisions.

Good English communication skills

SQL experience (PostgreSQL preferred)

Experience in the different use cases Python is used for such as API implementation, data science, web applications, and system tooling

Very good understanding of Azure authentication, authorization, service principals, identity and Access Management.
