Primary duties and responsibilities

- Architect, develop, and operate dependable CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps Services (Azure Pipelines) alongside Git-based source control.

- Establish and oversee infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments using Terraform, ARM templates, and/or Bicep for consistent environment creation.

- Containerize workloads using Docker and direct container orchestration via AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).

- Streamline build, test, deployment, and rollback workflows; embed automated quality checks and testing protocols throughout pipeline execution.

- Enhance platform dependability and visibility through instrumentation and observability platforms including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, and Grafana.

- Strengthen platform governance and security posture via pipeline safeguards, credential management (Key Vault / Vault), and secure configuration standards.

- Optimize Azure spending and enforce organizational governance through resource tagging, policy application, and budget controls.

- Diagnose pipeline execution issues, resolve production outages, and address system performance constraints; conduct detailed failure investigations and deploy durable resolutions.

- Coach and support engineering teams on Git branching patterns, CI/CD configuration, IaC methodologies, and cloud-native architectural patterns.

- Produce comprehensive reference materials including deployment runbooks, incident playbooks, system architecture documentation, and reusable pipeline templates.

Requirements





- Demonstrated expertise as an Azure DevOps Lead with comprehensive ownership of end-to-end CI/CD, IaC, and cloud-native delivery

- Mandatory (Experience 1) – Minimum 6+ years across cloud-native application delivery environments, with 3+ years of recent hands-on Azure experience

- Mandatory (Experience 2) – Advanced proficiency with Azure DevOps Services platforms including Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and Boards

- Mandatory (Experience 3) – Proven ability to lead and develop team members, providing guidance on Git workflows, pipeline development, IaC standards, and cloud-native architectural approaches

- Mandatory (Tech skill 1) – Substantial hands-on expertise in CI/CD design and YAML pipeline development, encompassing automation of compilation, validation, shipping, and restore mechanisms alongside quality validation checkpoints

- Mandatory (Tech skill 2) – Robust practical Infrastructure as Code capabilities using Terraform for standardized infrastructure deployment; ARM templates or Bicep represents a valuable supplement

- Mandatory (Tech skill 3) – Practical experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes, particularly AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)

- Mandatory (Tech skill 4)



– Applied expertise in scripting and automation through PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python

- Mandatory (Tech skill 5) – Working knowledge of Git workflows including branching methodologies, pull request mechanisms, and code review disciplines

- Mandatory (Tech skill 6) – Experience with configuration and secrets management tools such as Azure Key Vault and HashiCorp Vault

- Mandatory (Tech skill 7) – Grasp of networking fundamentals, identity systems (Azure AD), and security controls within Azure environments

- Mandatory (Tech skill 8) – Robust diagnostic, problem-solving, and emergency management capabilities, with capacity to analyze failure sources and institute lasting remedies

- Mandatory (Company) – Background in B2B IT services or IT consulting sectors

- Mandatory (Communication) – Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with capacity to coordinate successfully with cross-functional groups

- Mandatory (Note) – CTC is inclusive of 5% variable

- Preferred (Certification) – Holds AZ-400 (Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert), AZ-104, AZ-305, or Terraform Associate credentials

- Preferred (Experience) – Background with monitoring solutions (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana), Azure cost management and compliance practices, and documentation of runbooks, playbooks, and standardized pipeline templates
