Azure Cloud Solution Architect Healthcare / Medical Domain

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Solution Architect with strong hands-on expertise in C#/.NET, Azure cloud architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise application design. Experience in the healthcare, medical devices, clinical applications, or regulated software domain is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will provide end-to-end architecture leadership, drive cloud modernization, and guide engineering teams in building secure, scalable, highly available, and cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own end-to-end cloud architecture for healthcare and medical software solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Design scalable, highly available, secure, and resilient Azure-based architectures.
- Provide technical leadership for .NET/C# application architecture, including APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
- Define architecture standards, technology choices, design principles, and technical roadmaps.
- Design solutions using Azure services including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Key Vault, API Management, and Azure Monitor.
- Establish secure API and integration architectures connecting clinical applications, medical devices, and enterprise systems.
- Guide teams on cloud security, identity and access management, encryption, networking, secrets management, and data protection.
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, observability, and performance.
- Drive CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployment practices.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, quality, regulatory, and compliance teams to meet healthcare and organizational requirements.




- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers and technical leads.
- Conduct architecture reviews, evaluate technical designs, and identify technical risks and improvement opportunities.
- Support technology evaluations, PoCs, cloud migration, and modernization of existing applications.
- Work closely with product management and stakeholders to translate business and clinical requirements into robust technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant experience in solution/cloud architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- C# / .NET / .NET Core

- RESTful APIs

- Microservices

- Distributed systems
- Event-driven architecture

- Microsoft Azure
- Strong knowledge of Azure architecture and services across compute, storage, databases, networking, security, monitoring, and integration.
- Experience designing enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications.
- Strong understanding of Azure security and identity, including:

- Microsoft Entra ID

- OAuth2 / OIDC

- Managed Identities

- RBAC

- Azure Key Vault
- Experience with Azure DevOps / GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps.
- Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server/Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, SOLID principles,



Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, and API design.

Healthcare / Medical Domain Experience Experience in any of the following is strongly preferred:

- Healthcare applications
- Medical devices
- Clinical applications
- Healthcare platforms
- Patient/clinical data
- Medical imaging
- Clinical workflows
- Regulated software environments

Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM is an advantage. Experience with regulated software development, including requirements traceability, risk management, cybersecurity, data privacy, and software quality processes, is highly desirable.

Familiarity with standards and regulations such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, HIPAA, GDPR, or equivalent is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Experience with the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience with cloud migration and modernization of legacy .NET applications.
- Experience with healthcare/medical-device cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of FHIR, DICOM, HL7, healthcare APIs, and clinical data workflows.
- Experience with observability, performance engineering, and cloud cost optimization.
