Job Title: Ayurveda Therapist

Location: Ayurisha Hospital – Kalamassery / Edappally

Job Summary The Ayurveda Therapist is responsible for providing safe, professional, and compassionate Ayurvedic therapies to patients under the guidance and supervision of the Ayurvedic physician. The therapist should ensure proper preparation, execution, and completion of therapies while maintaining hygiene, patient comfort, and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform Ayurvedic therapies and treatments as prescribed by the Ayurvedic physician.
- Provide therapies such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Pizhichil, Kizhi, Njavara Kizhi, Udvarthanam, Thalam, Janu Basti, Kati Basti, Greeva Basti, and other therapies as trained and assigned.
- Prepare treatment rooms, medicines, oils, herbal preparations, equipment, and other materials required for each therapy.
- Follow the physician's instructions regarding the type, duration, quantity, and method of treatment.
- Maintain proper hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness of treatment rooms and equipment.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout every therapy session.
- Observe the patient's condition during treatment and immediately report any discomfort, unusual reaction, or concern to the supervising physician.
- Maintain accurate records of therapies provided and patient-related information as required.
- Handle Ayurvedic oils, medicines, herbs, and therapy equipment carefully and responsibly.
- Clean, maintain, and properly store therapy equipment and supplies after each treatment.




- Communicate politely and professionally with patients and explain basic therapy procedures when required.
- Coordinate with Ayurvedic doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding patient treatment and follow-up.
- Assist in preparing patients before and after therapy sessions.
- Follow all hospital policies, safety procedures, infection-control practices, and professional standards.
- Participate in staff training, workshops, health camps, awareness programs, and other departmental activities.
- Support patient wellness and outreach activities conducted by the hospital.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and demonstrate professional ethics at all times.
- Be willing to work at both Kalamassery and Edappally branches according to duty requirements.

- Knowledge of basic Ayurvedic therapies and treatment procedures.

- Ability to follow instructions from Ayurvedic physicians accurately.
- Good hygiene and personal grooming.
- Ability to work as part of a healthcare team.
- Willingness to learn new Ayurvedic therapies and procedures.
- Physically capable of performing therapy-related duties for extended periods.

Qualification & Experience
- Certificate/Diploma in Ayurveda Therapy / Panchakarma Therapy or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Previous experience in an Ayurvedic hospital, clinic, spa, or wellness centre will be an advantage.
- Freshers with relevant training may also be considered.
