– Assistant Vice President (AVP), Investment Banking – Equity /n Location: Mumbai / Bangalore /n Experience: 5+ Years /n Position Summary /n We are looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Investment Banking (Equity) to play a key role across business development, transaction execution, sector coverage, and investor/client relationship management. The role requires the ability to independently originate, lead, execute, and close transactions while building robust relationships across the investment ecosystem. /n Key Responsibilities /n /n

- Business Development: Develop client networks, originate new opportunities, and drive client acquisition.

/n

- Client & Investor Relationships: Build and manage long-term relationships with clients, investors, and other key stakeholders.

/n

- Sector Coverage: Independently manage sector coverage, develop deep sector knowledge, and generate new business.

/n

- Transaction Execution: Work across transactions from initial client pitches through execution and closing, including equity transactions, M&A;, and strategic advisory assignments .

/n

- Deal Leadership: Independently manage investor outreach, pitches, negotiations, third-party advisors, definitive documentation, and transaction closure.

/n

- Strategic Advisory:



Effectively communicate financial, regulatory, valuation, and strategic matters to clients and stakeholders.

/n /n Qualifications & Skills /n /n

- MBA in Finance/Economics, CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification preferred.

/n

- Strong transaction execution and deal-closing capabilities .

/n

- Strong financial modelling, accounting, and business valuation skills.

/n

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

/n

- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, including comparable company/transaction analysis and DCF.

/n

- Ability to independently manage transactions and lead/mentor teams.

/n /n Experience & Requirements /n /n

- 5+ years of experience with an investment bank or private equity advisory firm.

/n

- Strong transaction experience across multiple transaction types.

/n

- Experience managing client relationships and day-to-day transaction execution.

/n

- Existing exposure/network within the Venture Capital and Private Equity ecosystem in India .

/n

- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

/n

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
