We are looking for a senior Data Protection Officer (DPO) to lead the organization’s enterprise-wide Data Privacy & Protection programme and ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulatory requirements, including DPDPA and GDPR .

Key Responsibilities

- Own and lead the organization-wide Data Privacy & Protection framework and DPO function .
- Ensure compliance with DPDPA, GDPR, and applicable privacy regulations/standards .
- Lead DPIAs, privacy risk assessments, compliance assessments, and privacy audits .
- Develop and govern privacy policies, standards, processes, controls, and procedures .
- Advise Business, Product, Technology, Information Security, Legal, Risk and Compliance teams on privacy requirements.
- Oversee data privacy incidents, regulatory reporting, remediation and breach management .
- Manage privacy governance with third-party vendors, auditors and external stakeholders .
- Establish KPIs, KRIs,



dashboards and management reporting for the Privacy programme.
- Drive organization-wide privacy awareness, training and data protection culture .
- Present privacy risks, programme status, significant incidents and remediation updates to senior management and relevant governance/Board forums .
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and continuous improvement of the privacy framework.

Candidate Profile
- 10–12+ years of qualified experience with 5+ years in Data Privacy/Data Protection .
- Strong experience in DPO/Privacy Governance, DPDPA, GDPR, DPIA, privacy risk and regulatory compliance .
- Experience in BFSI/Payments/Fintech preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, Information Security, privacy controls, audits and risk assessments .
- Excellent senior stakeholder, governance and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPSE, DCDPO, DSCI Privacy Professional, CISSP or equivalent preferred.
