We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer I – Bumper Fascia with hands-on experience in automotive bumper fascia design and development.
Strong hands-on experience in automotive bumper fascia design and development.
Good understanding of automotive plastic component design.
Experience with any major CAD platform such as CATIA V5, Siemens NX or Creo.
Valuable understanding of: Plastic part design o Injection moulding o Draft analysis o Wall thickness o Ribs and bosses o Snap fits and clips o Parting line o Tooling/mould feasibility o DFM/DFA
Good knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.
Understanding of automotive vehicle architecture and bumper integration.
Ability to interpret Class-A/styling surfaces and develop engineering-ready designs.
Basic understanding of bumper-related CAE requirements such as pedestrian protection, low-speed impact and stiffness, where applicable, is preferred.
