Role & responsibilities

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Automation Tester to join their Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing Business Rule Engine (BRE) systems, workflows, system integrations, and customer journeys across lending platforms. The role requires close collaboration with Business stakeholders, Product teams, and Developers to understand system requirements, validate business flows, and ensure high-quality releases through both manual and automated testing practices.

- Collaborate with Business users, Product teams, and Developers to understand business requirements, workflows, and user stories.
- Review and validate requirement documents and provide testing sign-off.
- Analyze DHW (Data Harvesting Workbook) documents and interpret business rules for system implementation.
- Translate business requirements into configurable system rules while assessing downstream system impact.
- Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) documents and Data Layout Structures (DLS).
- Define and execute System Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and UAT activities.
- Create comprehensive test cases covering positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.
- Perform testing for BRE and Non-BRE requirements, including:

Policy and workflow enhancements

New policy implementations

Change requests

Production issue fixes and debugging

Customer journey validations across lending products

- Conduct end-to-end testing across integrated platforms and web-based applications.
- Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
- Debug automation scripts and implement minor enhancements when required.
- Support automation framework setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ensure automation scripts are reusable, scalable,



and maintainable with proper reporting.
- Identify, document, track, and report defects with appropriate evidence and impact analysis.
- Maintain defect logs, test execution reports, and governance documentation.
- Perform post-deployment sanity checks in production environments.
- Ensure compliance with internal QA standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Support project tracking, stakeholder coordination, and dependency management.
- Mentor junior testers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team

Preferred candidate profile

- 2 5 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing within Banking, NBFC, FinTech, or Retail Lending domains.
- Strong domain knowledge of Retail Lending products including Personal Loans (PL), Business Loans (BL), Home Loans (HL), Loan Against Property (LAP), Auto Loans (AL), and Credit Cards (CC).
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end testing of Business Rule Engine (BRE), workflows, system integrations, and customer journeys across lending platforms.
- Good understanding of Credit Bureaus such as TransUnion (CIBIL), Experian, Equifax, and CRIF, including interpretation of credit scores, bureau reports, raw bureau data, and related attributes.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA processes across all testing phases.
- Experience in System Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, UAT,



and End-to-End Testing.
- Working knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks with the ability to create, maintain, and debug automation scripts.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language relevant to test automation.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools for execution tracking and defect lifecycle management.
- Solid analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solve.
- Experience in cross-platform testing for web-based and integrated systems.
- Good reporting and documentation skills including preparation of test reports, defect summaries, MIS reports, dashboards, and governance documentation.
- Basic to intermediate project management skills including task tracking, stakeholder coordination, dependency management, and release monitoring.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with Business, Policy, and Development teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment while managing multiple priorities and project releases effectively .
- Experience working in Banking, NBFC, FinTech, or Retail Lending domains.
- Exposure to automation framework implementation and CI/CD testing practices.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery environments.
