Role Summary The AutoCAD Draftsman – Piping will be part of the piping team, responsible for preparing and revising accurate piping drawings for process plant and EPC projects, in line with engineering inputs, project standards and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare piping general arrangement (GA) drawings, plans, sections and elevations using AutoCAD.

- Prepare and revise piping isometric drawings from GA drawings, 3D model extracts or engineering mark-ups.

- Prepare equipment layouts, plot plans and pipe support drawings based on inputs from the piping engineer.

- Generate Bills of Material (BOM) and assist with Material Take-Offs (MTOs) from isometric drawings.

- Incorporate client, consultant and internal review comments promptly and maintain proper revision control.

- Ensure drawings conform to project drafting standards, title blocks, layering conventions and symbol libraries.

- Coordinate with piping engineers and other disciplines (mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and instrumentation) to resolve drawing inconsistencies.





- Prepare as-built drawings based on site mark-ups where required.

Qualifications and Experience

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI (Draughtsman – Mechanical).

- 5 years of experience in piping drafting, preferably on EPC or process plant projects.

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for piping drawings.

- Good understanding of pipe fittings, flanges, valves, piping symbols and isometric conventions.

- Working knowledge of relevant ASME piping standards.

- Exposure to 3D tools such as AVEVA PDMS/E3D, Hexagon Smart 3D (SP3D) or AutoCAD Plant 3D will be an advantage.

- Valuable coordination and communication skills.

- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Pay: ₹25,219.43 - ₹40,689.69 per month
