Job Role

Trigent Software is hiring a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to support design and manufacturing execution for our global client operations. In this role, you will work on permanent payroll with Trigent Software while being deployed directly at the client's engineering site.

We are looking for core mechanical design professionals who rely on PTC Creo as their daily CAD tool to transform concepts, sketches, and specifications into production-ready 3D parametric models, assemblies, and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and optimize detailed 3D part models and multi-component assemblies using PTC Creo.
- Generate precise 2D production drawings with standard dimensioning, manufacturing notes, and GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) guidelines.
- Conduct tolerance stack-up analyses, fitment checks, and interference checks across complex assemblies.




- Design components optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA), catering to sheet metal, castings, forgings, or machined parts.
- Create and update structured Bills of Materials (BOM) and process Engineering Change Requests/Notices (ECR/ECN).
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, tooling, quality, and shop-floor teams to resolve design feedback and manufacturing queries.

Requirments

- Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering (Required).
- Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of core hands-on experience in Mechanical Product Design / CAD Engineering.
- Primary CAD Expertise: Advanced, daily proficiency in PTC Creo (Part Modeling, Assembly, Detailing, Sheet Metal, or Surface Design).
- Drafting Standards: Solid knowledge of technical drawing interpretation, GD&T; application (ASME Y14.5 / ISO standards), and tolerance limits.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of shop-floor manufacturing processes, materials, and mechanical component behavior.
- Target Industries: Prior experience in Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Industrial Machinery, or Sheet Metal Fabrication.
