Role & responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping for Australian clients.

- Perform bank, credit card, GST and balance-sheet reconciliations.

- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

- Prepare and review BAS, IAS, GST and PAYG workings.

- Prepare financial statements, P&L;, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules.

- Assist with Australian tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.

- Handle payroll, superannuation and related accounting activities where required.

- Prepare accurate workpapers and maintain proper accounting documentation.

- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and outstanding issues.

- Communicate professionally with Australian clients and respond to accounting queries.

- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance where required.

- Ensure all work is completed accurately and within Australian accounting deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile:

- 3+ years of hands-on Australian Accounting experience.





- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation practices.

- Good understanding of GST, BAS, IAS, PAYG and superannuation.

- Strong experience with Xero and/or MYOB.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills.

- Excellent English communication skills.

- Ability to independently manage multiple client files and deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
