About us

N. R. Agrawal & Co. is a Mumbai-based firm of Chartered Accountants. We handle audit, taxation, accounting and advisory work for clients across retail, exports, stock broking and other industries.

The role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant at our head office who can handle a portfolio of clients from start to finish and lead a team of staff. You will be the main point of contact for your clients and make sure their work is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

- Manage several client assignments at once, covering accounting, finalisation of accounts and compliance
- Conduct and review Tax Audits under Section 44AB, including preparing Form 3CA/3CB–3CD
- Take part in Statutory Bank Audits, both branch and concurrent audits, including LFAR and other bank reporting formats
- Plan and carry out Internal Audits, and report findings with recommendations
- Handle Income Tax work: return filing, computations, advance tax, TDS, and replies to notices and assessments
- Handle GST work: monthly and annual returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C), reconciliations, refunds (including export refunds) and notice replies




- Bring industry knowledge to the job: inventory and margin accounting for retail, export documentation and incentives for exporters, and SEBI/exchange-related accounting and compliance for stock brokers
- Assign, supervise and review the work of junior staff and articled assistants, and train them
- Work with clients and partners to meet deadlines and maintain quality

What we're looking for

- CA Semi-Qualified (Inter/IPCC cleared) preferred; M.Com/B.Com candidates with strong relevant experience can also apply
- 3–6 years of experience, preferably in a CA firm
- Sound knowledge of Income Tax, GST, Tax Audit, Bank Audit and Internal Audit
- Exposure to retail, export or stock broking clients will be a strong advantage
- Experience leading and reviewing the work of a team
- Good command of Tally, Excel and the Income Tax and GST portals
- Positive communication skills and the ability to deal with clients independently
