About The Role As an Audit CA1, you will be required to:

- Apply relevant banking sector audit experience, including exposure to areas such as loans and advances, ECL models, deposits, treasury operations, financial instruments, regulatory returns, and capital adequacy.
- Perform audit procedures in accordance with firm methodology, UK GAAP / IFRS and regulatory standards applicable to banks and financial institutions.
- Review and deliver high-quality working papers, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality expectations.
- Support UK Engagement Managers by overseeing and coaching offshore team members within the extended audit structure.
- Participate in planning meetings, risk discussions,



and audit debriefs to identify learning points and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage assigned sections of the audit end-to-end—planning to completion—while adhering to agreed timelines and budgets.
- Ensure timely clearance of review notes and maintain audit documentation standards throughout the engagement.
- Draft audit completion deliverables including the audit opinion, representation letter, and support preparation of group reporting packs and audit committee papers.
- Provide constructive performance feedback to junior team members
- Build strong, team-oriented relationships with the extended audit team across India and the UK.

About The Audit Business Units Banking The Banking audit teams work with a diverse client base including overseas banks, UK challenger banks, building societies and specialist financial institutions, supporting them across retail, commercial, private and investment banking activities. Led by former regulators and industry specialists, the team brings deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of the regulatory, economic and technological pressures shaping the sector. Through tailored audits and assurance services, they help banks navigate complex prudential requirements, respond to market disruption and strengthen governance in an environment defined by rapid regulatory change and evolving consumer expectations. What are we looking for?

- Qualified / Pursuing ACA / ICAI / CA / ACCA (student / affiliates) qualification.
- 2 – 3-year Experience in leading external audits from planning through to completion.




- Relevant strategic market audit experience.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS.
- Experience of managing and coaching audit trainees.
- Experience of using audit software and Microsoft Office package
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Actively seeks to enhance expertise and knowledge, operate with a curious and sceptical mindset.
- Ability to identify issues through sound analysis and application of sector knowledge in all situations.
- Aids, shares experience, provides meaningful feedback and proactively supports the development of others.
- Self-driven, takes ownership of the work, effectively delegates to juniors within the team and takes responsibility for quality control
