- Hearing assessment
- Conduct hearing tests such as pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry.
- Identify the type and degree of hearing loss.
- Diagnosis and evaluation
- Assess hearing and balance problems in children and adults.
- Interpret test results and identify possible causes of hearing difficulties.
- Refer patients to ENT specialists or other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Hearing-aid services
- Recommend appropriate hearing aids based on the patient's needs.
- Select, fit, program, and adjust hearing aids.
- Provide counselling and training on hearing-aid use and maintenance.
- Rehabilitation
- Provide auditory rehabilitation and communication training.
