Senior Executive / Assistant Manager - Purchase

Role Summary

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Executive / Assistant Manager - Purchase to manage CAPEX procurement and techno-commercial purchasing activities for Magicrete.

The role will primarily focus on procurement of plant machinery, equipment, engineering items, spares, tools, consumables, and other CAPEX-related materials required across the organization.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in vendor development, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiation, cost analysis, purchase order management, and CAPEX procurement, preferably from the Manufacturing, Building Materials, Engineering, Construction Materials, or Infrastructure industry.

Key Responsibilities

- - Manage end-to-end CAPEX procurement from requirement understanding and vendor identification to negotiation, PO release, delivery, and closure.
- Procure plant machinery, equipment, mechanical/electrical items, engineering components, spares, tools, and other CAPEX materials.
- Coordinate with Plant, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, Accounts, and other internal stakeholders for procurement requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suitable vendors and suppliers based on quality, technical capability, pricing, delivery, and service.
- Obtain and evaluate technical and commercial quotations and prepare detailed comparative statements.
- Conduct rate analysis, cost benchmarking, and commercial evaluation to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Negotiate with vendors on price, payment terms, delivery timelines, warranty, AMC, service support, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders after obtaining the required internal approvals.
- Monitor order execution, delivery schedules, material receipt, and vendor commitments.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve quality, delivery, commercial, and technical issues.
- Ensure proper GRN, PO, invoice,



and payment reconciliation in coordination with Accounts.
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor base for CAPEX and engineering procurement.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluation and support vendor audits/development initiatives.
- Maintain proper documentation of quotations, comparative statements, approvals, POs, vendor records, and procurement-related documents.
- Prepare procurement MIS, CAPEX procurement status, savings reports, and other management reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, alternate vendor development, and process improvement.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, approval processes, commercial controls, and compliance requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Industrial / Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

2-5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement, with significant exposure to CAPEX procurement.

Candidates from Manufacturing, Building Materials, Engineering, Construction Materials, Cement, AAC, Precast, Chemicals, or similar industries will be preferred.
