Job Title: Associate Portfolio Strategy

Job Summary

We are looking for an Associate – Portfolio Strategy to support portfolio management, analytics, reporting, and strategic initiatives for a global real estate credit portfolio.

The role will work across portfolio reporting, financial analysis, performance monitoring, business planning, data analytics, and process improvement. The individual will collaborate with portfolio management, asset management, technology, and other internal stakeholders to deliver accurate and insightful portfolio reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Reporting & Analytics

- Prepare comprehensive portfolio reports, presentations, and analytical insights for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Analyze portfolio performance, activity, composition, and underlying asset-level data.
- Coordinate with portfolio management and asset management teams to collect, validate, and synthesize data.
- Develop portfolio dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical models to support decision-making.
- Monitor key portfolio and loan-level metrics, including DSCR and other credit metrics.
- Benchmark portfolio performance against internal and external benchmarks.
- Support business plan reviews and prepare portfolio-related materials for senior management.

Portfolio Strategy & Financial Analysis

- Develop dynamic financial and portfolio models to assess different scenarios and sensitivities.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify portfolio trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support analysis across commercial and residential real estate debt portfolios.
- Assist in evaluating portfolio performance and identifying opportunities to improve returns and mitigate risk.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop value-added analysis and actionable insights.

Process Improvement & Technology

- Identify opportunities to improve portfolio reporting, analytics,



and operational processes.
- Document business requirements for reporting and process enhancements.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to automate recurring reporting and improve data accuracy.
- Collaborate with technology teams on data, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives.
- Support data governance and ensure consistency and accuracy across portfolio reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, STEM, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in portfolio management, investment analytics, financial analysis, business strategy, or related areas.
- Experience in asset management, private equity, real estate finance/credit, lending, servicing, investment banking, rating agencies, Big 4, or related financial services environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and portfolio analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, VBA, Python, or another programming language is preferred.
- Experience with financial modelling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Experience preparing management, board-level, or senior leadership presentations and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience driving process improvements and implementing technology-enabled solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a rapid-paced environment.
- Experience working with offshore/remote teams or managing resources is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications
- CFA and/or CA qualification.
- Experience in Real Estate Debt / Real Estate Credit.
- Knowledge of commercial and/or residential real estate finance.
- Understanding of credit and loan-level metrics such as DSCR.
- Exposure to portfolio automation, data governance, BI tools, or AI-enabled reporting solutions.
