About the Organisation

Collective Positive Foundation (CGF) (https://collectivegood.in/about-us/) is dedicated to developing ecosystems that facilitate sustainable impact. It provides comprehensive program design and implementation solutions to companies and social organisations to address issues across cause areas; enhancing capacities in the development sector and building interventions that can be scaled. Collective Good Foundation currently houses ‘Samyak’, a health initiative set up by a team of professionals with extensive experience in the public health sector in India.

Samyak started off by setting up a pan India, multi-stakeholder collaborative (Urban Health Initiative (UHI)) 2 years back, to address urban health and nutrition challenges with a focus on urban poor and marginalized populations. UHI brings together urban practitioners, public health experts, donor agencies, government stakeholders and non-profit organisations to strengthen the urban health system in India, improving the quality of life of people and reducing existing health inequities. Priority areas of UHI includes, among other things, emerging health challenges due to climate change; wherein the Urban Health Initiative is working, under an MoU with the Govt of Uttar Pradesh to address data gaps around climate – health linkages, as well as piloting innovative models to address some of these challenges.

UHI is also working in Maharashtra. Partners of Samyak include Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, Samhita, J-PAL Climate – Health Data Capacity Accelerator, ARTPARK, India Health Fund and ACT for Health.

About the Role

CGF is seeking a Data Manager to support the development and management of data systems for Samyak’s urban health initiatives in Maharashtra.

The Data Manager will play a key role in integrating multiple health datasets, developing dashboards, applying advanced analytics,



and supporting AI-enabled data analysis to generate actionable insights for program teams and government stakeholders.

The role requires strong analytical and technical skills, experience working with large health datasets, and the ability to translate complex data into clear visualizations and decision-support tools.

The position is based in Mumbai and will involve collaboration with program teams, government partners, research teams, and technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

Data Systems and Management

- Manage and maintain data systems supporting urban health programs and decision support platforms.
- Integrate multiple data sources
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across integrated data systems.

Data Analysis and Insights

- Analyze large and complex health datasets to generate actionable insights for program planning and policy decision making.
- Identify trends, patterns, and gaps in urban health service delivery and health outcomes.
- Support the development of analytical outputs for research studies, program reviews, and policy discussions.

Dashboard Development and Data Visualization

- Design and develop interactive dashboards and data visualization tools for program teams and government stakeholders.
- Build dashboards that support real-time monitoring, performance tracking, and decision support.
- Ensure dashboards present data in clear, intuitive, and user-friendly formats.

AI-enabled Data Analytics





- Explore and apply AI and machine learning tools to create data collection tools, support data analysis, predictive insights, and pattern detection.
- Use AI-enabled tools to enhance data processing, analytics, and visualization workflows.
- Support the development of data-driven decision support systems for urban health programs.

Data Integration and Interoperability, and data governance

- Support the integration of datasets from multiple platforms and sources.
- Develop processes for data cleaning, transformation, and harmonization.
- Work with technology partners to ensure interoperability between data systems and analytics platforms.

Program and Stakeholder Support

- Provide analytical support to program teams, research teams, and government stakeholders.
- Support preparation of data summaries, analytical briefs, and visualizations for presentations and reports.
- Build the capacity of program teams to interpret and use data for decision making.

Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Data Science, Public Health, Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 3-6 years of experience in data management, analytics, or data science roles.
- Experience working with health data systems, public health programs, or development sector datasets is preferred.
- Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources. Strong analytical and statistical skills. Experience with data analysis tools, such as Python, R, Advanced Excel
- Experience developing dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning tools for data analysis would be an advantage.

Language Requirement

- Proficiency in Marathi (reading, writing, and speaking) is needed
