Position Assembly Engineer / Associate Manager – Production

Experience 3–7 years preferred

Qualification B.E./B.Tech/Diploma – Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Polymer / Composite Engineering

Job Purpose

Responsible for the complete assembly and gluing/bonding process of composite components used in metro and railway coaches, ensuring production targets, dimensional accuracy, quality, safety and process compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute daily composite assembly activities as per the production schedule.
- Assemble FRP/GRP/CFRP and sandwich composite components.
- Perform adhesive bonding/gluing using epoxy, PU and structural adhesives.
- Ensure proper surface preparation, adhesive mixing, application and curing.
- Handle jigs, fixtures, clamps and assembly tools.
- Ensure correct alignment, gap, flushness and dimensions as per drawings.
- Read and understand assembly drawings, BOM and work instructions.
- Monitor the assembly process and resolve shop-floor technical problems.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design and Stores departments.




- Conduct first-piece inspection and ensure process compliance.
- Reduce rejection, rework and adhesive wastage.
- Prepare and maintain production and process records.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with EHS and railway/metro safety requirements.

Technical Skills
- Composite assembly and adhesive bonding
- Epoxy / PU / structural adhesive application

- Jig and fixture handling
- Engineering drawings and GD&T;
- Production planning and manpower coordination
- Root Cause Analysis and problem solving
- Quality awareness and process documentation
- 5S / Lean / Kaizen

Preferred Experience Experience in railway/metro, automotive, aerospace or composite manufacturing is preferred. Exposure to FRP/GRP/CFRP, sandwich structures and industrial adhesive bonding will be an advantage.
