- Reporting to the MDM Global Process Owner the MDM Capability Lead leads a team of 2-3

employees and is responsible for defining, designing and enabling enterprise data capabilities across Product, Business Partner and Finance domains. The incumbent ensures that data-

related workflows, rules, integrations and governance mechanisms are designed once and implemented consistently across the enterprise landscape, including SAP S/4 HANA, SAP

MDG, BRF+, Collibra and connected systems.

A key focus of the role is to design and enable end-to-end orchestration of data processes across systems, ensuring that data objects, workflows and rules operate as one coherent model across business processes and platforms.

The role requires a strong understanding of S/4-based data objects and their interaction across end-to-end processes, ensuring consistent integration and execution beyond individual tools or platforms.

The incumbent acts as the bridge between business requirements (defined by Data Stewards and GPO) and scalable system implementation (delivered by Business Technology), ensuring reuse, consistency and alignment across active and passive governance layers.

This role is not responsible for technical build or operational execution, but for shaping and enabling enterprise-wide design patterns, orchestration logic and scalable capability frameworks, including the integration of automation and AI-driven approaches.

A key expectation of the role is to ensure that data capabilities are designed for scale and reuse across data domains and systems while maintaining a pragmatic approach that balances standardization with business needs and implementation feasibility.





The role operates without direct reports and delivers impact through strong cross-functional alignment, influence and design leadership.

- Responsibilities

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

 Lead and drive the definition and evolution of enterprise data capability design, including workflow patterns, rule frameworks, integration models and orchestration logic across systems

 Design and enable end-to-end orchestration of data flows across S/4, MDG, BRF+,

Collibra and connected systems

 Translate business and stewardship requirements into scalable, reusable cross-system design patterns

 Ensure alignment between active governance (workflows, rules, execution) and passive governance (definitions, metadata, lineage)

 Define and align enterprise standards for workflow design, rule implementation,

integration patterns and automation enablement

 Partner with Business Technology to ensure consistent implementation across platforms

 Identify and drive application of automation and AI opportunities within enterprise data capabilities

 Ensure standardization and reuse across Product, Business Partner and Finance domains

 Act as key design lead and advisor across stakeholder groups to ensure alignment of capabilities across systems and processes

 Apply design once, reuse across domains and systems principles

 Balance enterprise standardization with business requirements and implementation feasibility

- Professional education and skills

Education

 Bachelor degree in Business, Information Systems or related field

 Advanced certification in data management, architecture or process design is an advantage

Skills Required





 Minimum 6–8 years of experience in data, system design, or process orchestration environments

 Strong understanding of S/4 data models and multi domain data objects

 Proven experience in end-to-end data orchestration across multiple systems, not limited to a single platform (e.g. MDG)

 Experience designing cross-system workflows, rules and integrations

 Strong understanding of data governance, rule engines and metadata management (from a design perspective)

 Experience with SAP S/4, MDG, BRF+, Collibra or comparable technologies

 Ability to translate business processes into integrated data flows and scalable system designs

 Experience working across Product, Business Partner and Finance master data domains

 Understanding of automation, AI and digital trends, with ability to apply them in data environments

 Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills

 Strong stakeholder management across business and IT environments

 Excellent communication skills

 Experience in designing scalable and reusable solutions across complex environments

 Ability to balance standardization with pragmatic implementation in globalsettings
