The founder's day generates far more than it converts. Meetings that were never minuted. Commitments made in a room and never registered. Questions that needed an answer by evening and got one three days later, by which time the decision had already been taken without it.

This seat converts. Meetings into briefs and action registers. Questions into research. Half-formed arguments into first drafts. It is the throughput seat in the founder's office, and it is built for somebody who wants to learn how a business is actually run by sitting inside the room where it is run.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

– Run the pre-read. Every meeting the founder walks into has a one-page brief in front of him, prepared the night before, covering who is in the room, what was last agreed and what has to come out of it.

– Own the action register. Capture every commitment made in every room, chase it, and close it. Nothing dies quietly.

– Produce research on demand: markets, counterparties, sectors, regulation, people. Turned around in hours rather than weeks, and accurate enough to act on.

– Draft. Notes, memos, letters, board material, and the raw material for pieces published under the founder's name, handed to brand and communications to finish.

– Keep the founder's office filed and current inside the system the AI Engineer builds, and say loudly and early where that system breaks.

– Attend meetings the founder cannot, and represent what happened accurately rather than flatteringly.

– Verify everything. Every figure, citation and claim leaving this desk is checked against a real source. A fabricated number must never reach the founder or a counterparty.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR





– 1.5 to 3 years in consulting, investment banking, a founder's office, or a strategy or product seat at a startup.

– You use AI tools every day and can show what you have produced with them. Familiarity with ChatGPT is not the same thing.

– You write well, quick and clean. This is the most tested skill in the seat.

– You are comfortable being the most junior person in a senior room, and comfortable telling the founder he is wrong while you are in it.

– Mumbai, on site, long days.

– Discretion. You will see land transactions, capital conversations and board material in your first week.

ADVANTAGEOUS

– Exposure to real estate, infrastructure or financial services

– Hindi

– Basic scripting or automation, enough to build small things yourself

– You have built or run something of your own, however small

– Experience preparing material that went to a board or an investment committee

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

– It is not an executive assistant seat. Calendar and inbox sit with a separate seat.

– It is not a research-only seat. Half the value here is chasing things to closure.

– It is not a seat with a fixed scope. What you own in month nine will not be what you owned in month one.

THE HOURS, SAID PLAINLY The founder works a 12 to 16 hour day.



Not everyone wants that, and we do not pretend otherwise. What we will not do is waste it. This seat carries a stated arc: roughly 24 months in the founder's office, then a seat in the business on performance.

We're building Vantrock over a decade, not a funding cycle. We're looking for people who treat technology as the default answer rather than a supplement, who want to be co-builders of the platform rather than employees executing instructions, and who are comfortable saying "I don't know" and "I was wrong." If you want a defined role with defined edges, this isn't the right seat. If you want to help build an institution from zero, it might be.

AI proficiency is a standing requirement in every seat at Vantrock. You use AI tools daily as force multipliers, and you judge their output rather than forwarding it. This is tested for every appointment through a supervised assessment. There are no exceptions by seniority.

Partner command is the second standing requirement. Vantrock runs on outsourced partners, so every person here must be able to scope, brief, hold to an SLA, score and commercially discipline a partner, and must know what should never be delegated.
