Role Description he HR Recruitment Assistant Manager at AIPL will drive the talent acquisition engine behind India's most prestigious interior fit-out and construction projects, with the scope and accountability of a leadership role from day one. This position goes beyond managing requisitions — it demands the ability to lead and mentor a recruitment team, design sourcing strategy across passive and active candidate pools, and bring the commercial and stakeholder-management maturity to close senior and volume mandates on time.
You will partner directly with the Managing Director, HODs, and business leaders across Project Management, Site Execution, Design, Procurement, Finance,
and Business Development to build workforce plans and deliver hiring across AIPL's Pan-India project portfolio. Based on demonstrated performance, this role carries a clear growth path to HR Recruitment Manager within 12 monthsThe Assistant Recruiter Manager will also assist in employer branding initiatives, onboarding processes, and continuous improvement of recruitment workflows. This is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Non-Negotiables — Must Have
1. Must have previously led a team or had people directly reporting to them — this is a strict, non-negotiable requirement for this role, regardless of overall years of experience.
2. Minimum 4–6 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including at least 1–2 years in a team-leadership/managerial capacity.
3. Demonstrated experience managing or supervising a recruitment team with measurable hiring outcomes.
4. Proven ability to close mid-to-senior level mandates independently. Must be able to cite examples.
5. Strong exposure to sourcing strategy, recruitment analytics, and stakeholder coordination; workforce planning/employer branding experience is a strong plus.
6. Willingness and ability to build domain expertise across construction/fit-out technical roles (civil, MEP, project management, site supervision)
within 30 days of joining.
7. Must be based in Mumbai or able to join immediately from Mumbai without relocation support.
8. Comfort managing a high volume of concurrent open positions across a Pan-India portfolio without compromising data accuracy or candidate experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Engineering background is a plus for construction domain understanding).
- MBA / PGDM in HR preferred, not mandatory.
- Industry Background: Construction / Interior Fit-Out / Engineering / Real Estate / Hospitality preferred.
- Joining Preference: Immediate joiner strongly preferred (30-day notice maximum).
- Language: English and Hindi required;
- Strong skills in candidate sourcing, resume screening, and interview coordination.
- Proficiency in using recruitment tools, job portals, and applicant tracking systems.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple requisitions and deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of HR processes, onboarding, and recruitment compliance practices.
- Ability to analyse recruitment metrics and prepare clear reports for management.
- Comfort working in an on-site environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with IT-based project or HR management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to initiate and drive strategic projects to improve the Department.
