Purchase Manager – IT & Telecom | International & Domestic Sourcing

We are looking for a smart, proactive and resourceful Purchase Manager to handle sourcing and procurement of IT and Telecom equipment from suppliers in India and international markets.

The role involves identifying new suppliers, communicating with vendors across different countries, negotiating commercial terms and continuously developing reliable and competitive sources for our product requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Search and identify prospective international and Indian suppliers for IT and Telecom equipment.
- Conduct extensive supplier research using Google, Alibaba, ChatGPT/AI tools, B2B platforms and other online sources.
- Contact and develop new suppliers through email, WhatsApp and phone calls.
- Communicate professionally with international vendors regarding product specifications, pricing, MOQ, availability, lead time and commercial terms.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms and other commercial conditions.
- Develop alternative suppliers to improve pricing, availability and supply reliability.
- Maintain an organized database of suppliers, quotations, contacts and ongoing negotiations.
- Coordinate with existing vendors and follow up on purchase requirements, orders and deliveries.
- Continuously explore new sourcing opportunities in India, China and other international markets.

Candidate Requirements




- Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent online research and supplier-finding skills.
- Comfortable communicating with international suppliers through email, WhatsApp and calls.
- Good working knowledge of Google Search, Alibaba, ChatGPT/AI tools, Excel and email.
- Should be proactive, confident and comfortable approaching new suppliers.
- Ability to compare vendors, quotations and commercial terms and make sensible purchasing recommendations.
- Experience in IT hardware, telecom equipment, electronics, networking products or related products will be preferred.
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, vendor development, imports or international business will be an advantage.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is resourceful, persistent and positive at finding things.

If a particular product or supplier is difficult to locate, the candidate should be able to independently research different sources, identify manufacturers/distributors, approach multiple companies and find suitable purchasing options rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions.
