Role Description The Assistant Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. This position supports the purchasing function by sourcing materials, obtaining and comparing quotations, and assisting in vendor selection for ceramic and related home-improvement products.

Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking inventory levels, raising purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring timely replenishment to meet store and project needs. The role also involves maintaining accurate purchasing records, monitoring supplier performance, negotiating pricing within defined guidelines, and working closely with sales, warehousing,



and finance teams to align procurement with demand and budget.

The Assistant Purchasing

Manager is expected to follow company policies, support cost-effective buying decisions, and contribute to continuous improvement of purchasing processes.

Qualifications

- Robust analytical and numerical skills with the ability to manage inventory data, purchase orders, and pricing comparisons.
- Knowledge of procurement or supply chain processes, including vendor management, negotiation basics, and purchase documentation.
- Proficiency in using MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with ERP or inventory management software is an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with suppliers, internal teams, and management.
- Attention to detail, reliability in maintaining records, and a structured approach to managing multiple purchase requirements.
- Prior experience in purchasing, retail, building materials, or ceramics sector is preferred.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, supply chain, or a related field is desirable.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Bengaluru Area and adapt to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
