ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – PHYSIOTHERAPY

1. JOB PURPOSE

To provide effective teaching, clinical training, academic guidance, and practical education to physiotherapy students while contributing to the academic and career development of the department.
1. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching & Academics

- Conduct lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and practical classes for physiotherapy students.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, and practical demonstrations.
- Teach subjects related to physiotherapy according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Conduct internal assessments, examinations, viva voce, and practical evaluations.
- Maintain student attendance, academic records, and assessment documentation.
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to students.

Clinical Training

- Supervise students during clinical postings and patient care activities.
- Demonstrate appropriate physiotherapy assessment and treatment techniques.
- Ensure students follow professional ethics, patient safety, and clinical protocols.




- Coordinate with clinical staff regarding student training and patient management.
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and case records.

Research & Professional Development

- Participate in research projects, seminars, workshops, conferences, and academic activities.
- Encourage students to participate in research, presentations, and professional activities.
- Contribute to departmental publications and academic development initiatives.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning.
- Assist in curriculum development and implementation.
- Support institutional events, examinations, inspections, and accreditation-related activities.
- Perform other academic responsibilities assigned by the Principal/HOD.

1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution.
- Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) in a relevant specialization is preferred/required as per applicable regulatory and institutional norms.
- Valid professional registration with the relevant statutory authority, wherever applicable.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
