Assistant Professor – Design

KMCT School of Design, Kozhikode invites applications from passionate and experienced design professionals and educators to join our faculty team.

We are looking for candidates with strong academic credentials, industry and/or teaching experience, and a solid professional portfolio.

Positions Available

1. Assistant Professor – Product Design

Candidates should have a Master of Design (M.Des.) in Product Design or Industrial Design, preferably with experience in the design of physical products.

Industry experience and/or teaching experience will be an advantage.

2. Assistant Professor – Communication Design | Graphic Design

Candidates should have a Master of Design (M.Des.) in Communication Design.

The candidate should be proficient in:

- Typography
- Layout and composition
- Publication design
- Packaging design
- Signage design

Industry experience and/or teaching experience will be an advantage.

3. Assistant Professor – Communication Design | Photography & Filmmaking

Candidates should have a Master of Design (M.Des.) in Communication Design.

The candidate should be proficient in:





- Outdoor and indoor photography
- Filmmaking

Knowledge of the following will be an added advantage:
- Sound design
- Motion graphics
- VFX

4. Assistant Professor – Interaction Design

Candidates should have a Master of Design (M.Des.) in Interaction Design.

The candidate should be proficient in:

- UI Design
- UX Design
- Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)

Expertise in VR and Gaming will be an added advantage.

Eligibility

- Master of Design (M.Des.) degree in the relevant discipline
- Strong and relevant professional portfolio
- Industry experience and/or teaching experience is desirable
- Candidates should demonstrate robust subject knowledge and an ability to contribute to design education
