Role Description The Assistant Professor – Clinical Psychology role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Mohali district campus of Chandigarh University. The selected candidate will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in clinical psychology, using evidence-based teaching methods and student-centered learning approaches. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating course content, supervising student projects and dissertations, mentoring students in academic and professional development, and conducting high-quality research in clinical psychology and related areas.

The role also involves participation in departmental meetings, academic committees, and university initiatives, as well as contributing to outreach,



workshops, and qualified activities that enhance the department’s profile.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Psychology with specialized knowledge in Clinical Psychology, including theoretical and applied aspects.
- Demonstrated ability in University Teaching and Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, using diverse pedagogical tools.
- Experience or aptitude in Curriculum Development, including designing, revising, and aligning courses with academic and professional standards.
- Proven Research skills, with evidence of publications, conference presentations, or ongoing scholarly projects in clinical or related psychological fields.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Phil/Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or related specialization) from a recognized institution.
- Eligibility as per regulatory bodies (e.g., UGC norms); clinical licensure or RCI registration is an advantage where applicable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic environment.
