Work Arrangement: Field-Based; extensive travel and deployment at assigned project sites

Job Type: Full-Time

Role Purpose The Assistant Manager – Site Execution will provide client-side site assurance by verifying that contractor work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, approved materials, quantities, quality standards, and project schedules.

The role will maintain reliable evidence of project progress, quality, safety observations, delays, and defects. The contractor remains responsible for labour management and day-to-day workforce supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Deployment

- Attend assigned construction, renovation, fit-out, and commissioning sites as directed by the Projects team.
- Coordinate daily site priorities with the assigned Project Lead.
- Monitor site activities against the approved project schedule.
- Travel and remain at project locations as required during the project execution period.

2. Workmanship & Quality Checks

- Inspect executed work against:
- Approved drawings
- Project specifications
- Approved makes
- Quality standards
- Agreed project schedule
- Identify and document non-conformances.
- Issue observations to the concerned contractor/project team.
- Verify corrective and rectification work before closure.
- Maintain proper inspection and quality records.

3. Material Verification

- Verify materials delivered at site against approved specifications and makes.
- Check:
- Brand
- Specification
- Quantity
- Visible quality
- Approved sample/make, where applicable
- Identify non-compliant materials and immediately escalate them.
- Follow up on rejection, replacement, or corrective action through the approved project process.

4. Safety & Contractor Records

- Monitor basic site safety practices, housekeeping, and safe working conditions.
- Check availability of required contractor documentation, including applicable:
- Insurance records
- Labour-compliance documents
- Safety records
- Other required site documentation
- Immediately report unsafe conditions to the Project Lead and responsible teams.
- Where there is an immediate safety risk, stop or restrict the unsafe activity and escalate as per the project process.

5. Measurements & Bill Verification

- Conduct or participate in joint measurements of completed work.
- Verify executed quantities against approved drawings, BOQs, and site measurements.
- Review supporting evidence submitted for progress bills.
- Identify discrepancies, excess quantities, incomplete work,



or unsupported claims.
- Submit documented recommendations for authorized bill certification, including applicable deductions and retention.

6. Daily Reporting & Project Evidence

- Maintain dated photographs and inspection records.
- Record evidence of:
- Project progress
- Delays
- Non-conformances
- Material issues
- Site blockers
- Manpower availability
- Submit daily progress updates to the Projects and MIS teams.
- Maintain accurate and traceable site records for future review.

7. Project-Camera Checks

- Verify that required project cameras are installed at approved locations.
- Check camera positioning and functionality as specified in the site/project requirements.
- Report camera outages or positioning issues to the responsible teams.
- Follow up until the issue is resolved and maintain records of the status.

8. Snagging, Testing & Defect Follow-Up

- Assist with testing, pre-handover inspections, and project readiness checks.
- Prepare and maintain snag lists.
- Coordinate with contractors for timely rectification.
- Verify completed corrective work before closing snags.
- Maintain evidence of defect closure during the agreed Defect Liability Period (DLP).
- Support the Projects team during final handover and closure activities.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Relevant Experience

- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Equivalent relevant site experience may be considered for suitable candidates.
- 5–8 years of experience in site supervision, site execution, quality inspection, or project audit.
- Experience in interior fit-out, civil construction, healthcare, hospital, clinic, commercial, or renovation projects will be preferred.
- Client-side or Project Management Consultancy (PMC) experience will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of:
- Site measurements
- BOQ and quantity verification
- Billing verification
- Quality inspections
- Site safety practices
- Drawing interpretation

- Early identification and documentation of non-conformances.
- Timely verification and closure of corrective actions.
- Accuracy of site measurements and progress-bill verification.
- Quality and completeness of dated evidence supporting progress, delays, and defects.
- Timely escalation and follow-up of safety and compliance observations.
- Timely completion of snag and defect-closure activities.
- Accuracy and timeliness of daily site reporting.

Initial Priorities After Joining

First 30 Days

- Understand and adopt the standard site inspection checklist.
- Learn the company's site-reporting and documentation standards.
- Understand measurement and bill-verification procedures.
- Familiarize yourself with project drawings, specifications, and approved materials.

By 60 Days

- Maintain reliable and independent site evidence.
- Establish regular follow-up of non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Ensure consistent daily reporting from assigned sites.
- Strengthen coordination with contractors and Project Leads.

By 90 Days

- Establish dependable bill-verification records.
- Maintain complete snag and defect-closure records.
- Ensure timely escalation of site quality, safety, and progress issues.
- Maintain accurate site documentation for assigned projects.

- Other relevant project stakeholders

Role Boundaries The role is responsible for client-side verification, inspection, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.

It does not replace the contractor's site manager or workforce supervision responsibilities.

The contractor remains responsible for labour deployment, workforce management, execution methodology, and day-to-day site operations.

Final certification, statutory sign-off, commercial approval, and payment release remain with the authorized personnel as per company process.

Compensation

Salary: To be determined by HR based on the candidate's relevant experience, expertise, market suitability, and overall fit, in line with company policy.
