Assistant Manager Programs

1. Role Summary The Assistant Manager – Programs (CSR) will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of CSR-funded development programs. The position will work closely with field teams, corporate CSR partners, government stakeholders, implementing agencies, and communities to ensure effective program delivery, achievement of targets, compliance, and measurable social impact.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Program Planning and Implementation
- Assist in developing CSR project plans, budgets, timelines, log frames, and implementation work plans.
- Support the implementation of programs across assigned locations.
- Coordinate with field teams, volunteers, implementing partners, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor day-to-day project activities and ensure timely completion of planned interventions.
- Identify implementation challenges and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
B. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)
- Track project progress against approved KPIs, targets, outputs, outcomes, and milestones.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor program implementation and beneficiary engagement.
- Review data collection formats, MIS, attendance records, beneficiary databases, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze project data and prepare periodic progress reports.
- Develop case studies, success stories, impact narratives, and learning documents.
- Support baseline, midline, endline, and impact assessment activities, as required.
C. CSR Partner and Stakeholder Management
- Act as a coordination point for corporate CSR teams, donors, and funding partners.
- Prepare project proposals, concept notes, presentations, progress reports, utilization reports, and other donor/partner documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with CSR partners and provide timely project updates.
- Coordinate with government departments, local authorities, NGOs, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support stakeholder meetings, review meetings, project visits, and presentations.
D. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure implementation and documentation are aligned with applicable CSR requirements, including the Companies Act and Schedule VII, wherever applicable.
- Maintain complete and accurate project records and supporting documents.
- Coordinate preparation of Utilization Certificates (UCs), financial and program documentation, and audit-related records.
- Ensure project files are maintained in an organized and audit-ready manner.
- Coordinate with the finance team for budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, and fund utilization.
- Support timely submission of statutory, donor, and organizational reports.
E. Team Coordination and Capacity Building
- Guide and support Program Officers, Field Coordinators, and other project staff.
- Conduct regular team review meetings and monitor individual and team-level deliverables.
- Support training and capacity-building activities for field staff and implementing partners.
- Promote effective communication and coordination among project teams.
3. Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Rural Management, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and strong relevant experience may also be considered.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in program management, preferably in CSR, NGO, or the development sector.
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors will be preferred:
- Education
- Healthcare
- Livelihoods and Skill Development
- Environment and Sustainability
- Community Development
4. Skills and Competencies
- Strong project planning and management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proposal, report, and documentation-writing abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with MIS, data management, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of CSR regulations, Schedule VII, and CSR project documentation.
- Knowledge of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL/M&E;) frameworks.
- Solid stakeholder coordination and relationship-management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to field locations.
- Proficiency in English & Hindi.
5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance will be assessed based on:
- Timely achievement of project targets, outputs, and milestones.
- Quality and timely submission of donor/CSR partner reports.
- Effective monitoring and documentation of project activities.
- Budget utilization within approved project limits.
- Accuracy and completeness of MIS and project documentation.
- Timely preparation of UCs and supporting documents.
- Quality of case studies, impact stories, and project presentations.
- Effective coordination with CSR partners and other stakeholders.
- Team performance and timely completion of assigned deliverables.
- Stakeholder satisfaction and continuity of partnerships.
6. Compensation Salary: As per organizational norms and based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and competencies.
7. Travel Requirement The position may require regular travel to project and field locations for monitoring, stakeholder meetings, training, project reviews, and implementation support.
8. Key Attributes The ideal candidate should be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to social development. The candidate should be comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and managing both field-level implementation and corporate/CSR reporting requirements.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
