Job Summary
As a Procurement Manager, you'll play a crucial role in centralizing Staten's procurement of Modules, Inverters, Racking, BOS and services for US/India projects.
Your responsibilities will include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. The goal is to find cutting-edge ways to cut costs, allowing the company to invest in growth and people.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of Solar PV plant equipment such as Structures, cables, and BOS items.
- Float RFQs/RFPs, evaluate techno-commercial bids, and conduct negotiations with vendors.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for solar components.
- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of delivery, quality, and service.
- Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and project requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, project, and site teams to understand material requirements.
- Track procurement schedules to align with project timelines.
- Maintain procurement MIS, reports, and documentation.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to support strategic decisions.
- Strategic Procurement, Negotiation, Vendor Development.
Skills Required
- At least 3-4 years solar industry experience.
- Ready to work during PST hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), which corresponds to 8:30 PM - 5:30 AM IST.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with any degree/certification in supply chain management, logistics (Desirable).
