ASSISTANT MANAGER — CAFE OPERATIONS & GUEST SERVICE

Location: Bandra West, Mumbai

Experience: 3–5 years in Cafe / Restaurant / Hospitality Operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the Cafe Manager in the day-to-day operations of Everhome.
- Take ownership of the floor and guest experience during assigned shifts.
- Supervise service staff, captains and front-of-house team during service.
- Allocate sections, staff positions and daily responsibilities.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily priorities, specials and operational updates.
- Monitor service speed, table turns, order accuracy and overall floor efficiency.
- Ensure all tables and guest areas are maintained to Everhome standards.
- Handle guest complaints, feedback and service recovery professionally.
- Coordinate closely with Kitchen, Bar, Service and Cafe Manager to resolve operational issues quickly.
- Monitor pending and delayed orders and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure POS, billing, discounts, voids and complimentary items are handled correctly.
- Monitor daily opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure staff attendance, grooming, punctuality and discipline.
- Track staff performance and flag recurring issues to the Cafe Manager.
- Ensure SOPs, hygiene and service standards are followed consistently.
- Monitor stock levels of front-of-house consumables and raise requirements to the Cafe Manager/Purchase team.
- Support inventory checks, wastage monitoring and operational cost control.
- Assist with staff training, onboarding and on-floor corrections where required.
- Coordinate and manage events,



private bookings and high-volume service.
- Ensure the cafe is operationally ready before every shift.
- Take charge of the cafe in the absence of the Cafe Manager.
- Prepare and communicate shift handovers and important operational updates.
- Identify operational problems and proactively resolve them instead of waiting for instructions.
- Work with the Cafe Manager on improving sales, service efficiency, guest satisfaction and team performance.
- Ensure Everhome's service, cleanliness and hospitality standards are maintained consistently across every shift.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5 years of experience in cafe, restaurant or hospitality operations.
- Previous supervisory / captain / assistant manager experience preferred.
- Strong floor management and people-management skills.
- Good communication and guest-handling skills.
- Strong understanding of restaurant/cafe service operations.
- POS knowledge required; Petpooja experience is an advantage.
- Comfortable handling busy services and high-volume operations.
- Good command of English and Hindi.
- Presentable, energetic and highly organised.
- Robust sense of ownership, discipline and accountability.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and events.

THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR Someone who can run the floor without being babysat.

They should be hands-on, alert, decisive and comfortable managing people, guests and problems simultaneously — while keeping the Cafe Manager informed and supported.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
