Our Service Offerings include External Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) , IFRS US GAAP conversion , IPO and other public offering, Corporate Treasury - IFaccounting implementation support etc.

Your key responsibilities

- Support General Ledger and sub-ledger integration, accounting rules, posting logic, and reconciliation design.
- Maintain ledger process maps, accounting treatment documentation,



and end-to-end data lineage from source to GL.
- Assess accounting impacts of product/process changes (e.g., new booking models, new feeds, new legal entity requirements).
- Support designing of target operating model and target ledger architecture (including controls and governance).
- Translate Finance requirements into functional specifications, ensuring traceability from requirement design test sign-off.
- Collaborate with Technology to shape solution options, assess trade-offs, and ensure designs meet non-functional requirements (resilience, performance, auditability).
- Define and strengthen ledger controls: completeness, accuracy, timeliness, segregation of duties, and audit trails.
- Drive improvements to reconciliations (sub-ledger to GL, intercompany, suspense, breaks management) and close efficiency.
- Support Finance in ensuring robust period-end close processes and operational readiness for change releases.
- Ensure solutions align with relevant accounting standards and regulatory expectations (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP where applicable).
- Support internal/external audit, model risk, and operational risk reviews by providing evidence, walkthroughs, and remediation plans.
- Contribute to governance forums (design authority, change control, risk acceptance) and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.

Skills and Experience

Essential





- Strong experience in ledger/finance change within a large bank (GL, sub-ledgers, accounting rules, reconciliations, close).
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end functional design and delivery across complex data flows and multiple source systems.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and operational risk in a regulated environment.
- Experience with testing (SIT/UAT), including defining test strategy, test scenarios, and supporting defect triage.

Desirable

- Exposure to IFRS/GAAP topics relevant to banking products (e.g., accruals, fees, hedging, impairments).
- Experience with ledger platforms and integration patterns (e.g., SAP/Oracle GL, Murex/Calypso accounting feeds, ETL/data lakes).
- Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and reporting controls.
- Experience in large-scale transformation programmes (multi-entity, multi-country).

Qualifications

- CA/ ACCA/CIMA or equivalent

- 4+ years of strong relevant experience
