Job Title: Assistant Manager Industrial Engineering

Reporting To: Deputy Manager / Sr. Manager – Industrialization

Role Purpose The Assistant Manager – Industrial Engineering will support the industrialization and manufacturing readiness of paint dispensing and mixing machines and their components. The role focuses on developing practical manufacturing and assembly processes, improving productivity, supporting recent product introduction, and resolving day-to-day manufacturing issues. The incumbent will work closely with Design, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Stores, Service teams, and Suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

- Support review of machine and component designs from a manufacturability and assembly perspective.
- Assist in developing and improving manufacturing and assembly processes for paint dispensing machines.
- Support prototype, sample and pre-series builds, including coordination for components, tooling and fixtures.
- Prepare and implement work instructions, process sheets, assembly methods and other manufacturing documents.
- Support development and implementation of fixtures, gauges, jigs, testing arrangements and assembly aids.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing and assembly issues related to machined, fabricated, plastic and sheet-metal components.
- Work with Production and Quality teams to improve productivity, quality, cycle time and process consistency.
- Support Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and ensure changes are implemented on the shop floor.
- Assist in process validation,



trial runs and production readiness activities for new and modified products.
- Coordinate with suppliers for component trials, technical issues, quality improvements and manufacturing feasibility.
- Support cost reduction, value improvement, line balancing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support service and production teams in investigating and resolving recurring product and manufacturing issues.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma / BE / B.Tech Mechanical).

Required Experience

- 8–10+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrialization, NPD, Production Engineering, or a similar engineering role.
- Experience in machinery manufacturing, automation equipment, industrial equipment, capital goods, or related engineering products preferred.

Technical Skills

- Basic understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) & DFA ( )
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Basic understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving techniques
- Process improvement and productivity improvement
- Basic knowledge of PFMEA and process validation
- Fixture, jig and gauge development / implementation
- Manufacturing documentation and work instruction preparation
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD software
- Understanding of machining, fabrication, sheet metal, plastic and assembly processes
