Job Summary

As an Assistant Sales Manager you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our B2B customer base. You will manage client relationships, support territory strategy, and work closely with marketing, operations, and senior sales leadership to convert leads into long-term customers. This role combines hands-on selling with team supervision and requires strong ownership of sales targets, pipeline health, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

- Drive new business development and meet monthly/quarterly sales targets through proactive prospecting and solution selling.

- Manage end-to-end client relationships including discovery, product/service presentations, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.

- Maintain accurate documentation record management for contracts, proposals, and customer interactions.

- Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, prepare regular sales forecasts and performance reports.

- Coordinate with marketing and operations to align campaigns, delivery commitments, and post-sale support.

- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities to improve customer lifetime value.

- Support senior sales managers in territory planning, strategy execution, and market intelligence.

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through timely follow-up and resolution of issues.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Proven success in B2B sales with strong track record of meeting targets.

- Experience in Team Management and Team Handling, including coaching and performance tracking.

- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Robust proficiency in CRM usage and pipeline management.

- Accurate documentation record management and contract handling skills.

- Solid analytical ability for sales forecasting and reporting.

- Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving orientation.

- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work under target-driven timelines.

- Willingness to travel within assigned territory as needed.

Leadership Expectations

- Coach and mentor junior sales representatives; conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews.

- Lead pipeline reviews and enforce disciplined sales processes.

- Provide clear feedback and conduct on-the-job training to raise team performance.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to align sales plans with operational capabilities and marketing initiatives.

- Take ownership of territory planning and resource allocation to maximize coverage and revenue.

Qualifications

- Experience - Master of Business Administration (MBA) required.

- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, with demonstrable experience in team handling or supervisory responsibilities.

- Experience using CRM systems and preparing sales/forecasting reports.

Location

Chandigarh, Chandigarh - Full-Time position. Role may require travel within the territory for client meetings and events.
