Role Description The Assistant Ink Chemist role is a full-time, in office position based in Vadodara. This role involves supporting ink formulation and development for various labeling applications, preparing and testing ink samples in the laboratory, and recording results in an accurate and organized manner.

The Assistant Ink

Chemist will assist in implementing quality control procedures, monitoring ink performance on production lines, and troubleshooting issues related to color consistency, adhesion, and print quality. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with senior chemists and production teams, maintaining lab equipment and safety standards,



and contributing to research and development projects aimed at improving existing products and creating new ink solutions. The role requires close coordination with quality, production, and technical teams to ensure that all inks meet stringent internal and BRC quality requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including safe handling of chemicals, preparation of ink samples, and operation of basic lab instruments.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills, with experience in conducting tests, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Candidates should possess analytical skills, including the ability to interpret test data, identify trends, and support root-cause analysis for ink-related issues.
- Candidates should possess research and development (R&D;) and research skills, with an interest in experimenting with formulations and contributing to product improvements.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with printing inks, coatings, or packaging industry processes is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a high-quality, audit-driven environment.
